  • No, unfortunately, Chapman House is not pet friendly and we do not allow dogs or pets due to the lovely shared private courtyard that the house is situated in.

  • No, we do not permit parties. Chapman House is in a residential private courtyard so all guests must respect our lovely neighbours by not playing loud music, partying or making loud noise during their stay. This house would not be appropriate for hen or stag dos for this reason.

  • There is a smart TV with Virgin TV provided which has 150+ channels. The TV has apps such as Netflix, Prime etc. but we kindly ask that you log in and out of your own account to use these.

  • No. Please note that there is strictly no smoking or vaping inside the property or balcony.


  • I am afraid we do not have private parking, however, the closest available car park is RCP Parking on Bethel Street (open air) and £16 per day (24 hours) and it is approximately 100 yards from Chapman House. Please find the map link here.

    There are two disable parking bays on Bethel Street outside of the front entrance. These are available on a first come firsr serve basis.

  • Yes, guests access the whole house and it is solely for your use during your stay.

  • Yes, Chapman House has a private balcony that overlooks the shared garden. It has an outdoor dining table that can accommodate up to six. You can also make use of the shared garden during your stay and there is a garden bench at the front of the house for additional seating.

  • Norwich Train Station is a 20 min walk from Chapman House and can connect you to popular destinations in Norfolk.

  • Yes, we offer a 10% discount for 7 nights or more and a 20% discount 28 nights or more. The discount will be applied when booking.

  • Our check in is at 2:00 PM and our check out is at 10:00 AM.

  • Yes, we have Virgin Media superfast fibre broadband available and is included in your stay.

  • Chapman House forms part of the former Bethel Hospital and was built in 1713 by Mary Chapman. It is a grade II* listed townhouse in the centre of Norwich.

  • Yes, Chapman House has a fire blanket, fire extinguisher and first aid kit in the kitchen. It also has smoke alarms, a heat detector in the kitchen and a carbon monoxide alarm at the boiler.

  • Yes, we offer a 15% discount on all bookings for our return guests. The code for this is given during your first stay, however, you can contact me directly if you require further confirmation.
